Wściekły Chmiel, Żydowska 10
Wściekły Chmiel is known for its 18 beer taps, but the cocktail list is the reason many regulars come back. The classics are all there: Negroni, Boulevardier, Old Fashioned, Aperol Spritz and Hugo. Then there are sours (vodka, whisky, Jäger, daiquiri) and the sweeter end of the menu with Porn Star Martini, White Russian and Sex on the Beach. In autumn and winter they add a seasonal list with a Penicillin, mulled wine and house gingerbread liqueur shots.
It’s two minutes north of the square, open until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays. The cellars are good for groups, so book ahead at the weekend.
Dram, Stary Rynek 92
A cocktail bar and restaurant on the square itself (enter from Wroniecka Street), with a menu that changes every season, a strong whisky list and live music. Good for a slower evening with food.
Lot Chmiela, Żydowska 4

Tips for a cocktail night in the Old Town
- The square is the most expensive part of town. Side streets like Żydowska, Wroniecka and Szewska are cheaper and less touristy.
- Expect to pay around 25–40 zł for a cocktail in the Old Town, much less than in London.
- Friday and Saturday nights get busy after 10 pm. Book a table if you’re more than four.
- Card payments are accepted almost everywhere.
