1. Cooliozum, Święty Marcin 45
Cooliozum is the sports pub in our group, and the best place in central Poznań to watch a match. It’s a big cellar under Święty Marcin, the main street of the city centre, with more than twenty screens, so you’ll find your game even on a busy night with several fixtures. Between matches there are four professional foosball tables, two dartboards, board games and craft beer on tap.
Find it through the archway at number 45. For a big game, book a table. Groups and stag dos can also book foosball tournaments and a Las Vegas casino night.
2. Lot Chmiela, Żydowska 4
Lot Chmiela is the pre-match pub: a British-style bar with Guinness on draught and a beer garden in the Old Town. Meet your mates here, have a pint or two, then walk fifteen minutes to Cooliozum for kick-off. Ask at the bar about screenings of big matches.
3. Wściekły Chmiel, Żydowska 10
Wściekły Chmiel is the after-match bar. It stays open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, pours from 18 taps and has two cellars where a group can carry on celebrating (or drown their sorrows).
Lech Poznań at home
If you want live football, Lech Poznań, the city’s club, plays its home games at the Poznań Stadium (Stadion Miejski) in the Grunwald district, a tram ride from the centre. Lech fans are among the loudest in Poland. Buy tickets online in advance and expect a lively walk back into town after the final whistle.
Kick-off times
Poland is on Central European Time, one hour ahead of the UK. A 3 pm Premier League kick-off in England starts at 4 pm in Poznań, and Champions League evening games start at 9 pm local time.
